This impressive, 4-star hotel offers amazing views of the city from its hilltop position above Burgos, just 300 metres from the magnificent cathedral and close to the Castillo viewpoint.

All of the hotel’s comfortable, luxurious rooms – from doubles to family rooms – are all outward facing. Executive rooms even have a terrace, balcony or private garden.

The hotel has spacious, bright, airy public areas and impressive facilities, including a private garage and a fitness centre with heated indoor swimming pool, a solarium, a gym, a sauna and a paddle court free of charge. In addition, the on-site restaurant, La Abbadía, offers everything from traditional Castillian specialities to nouvelle cuisine.

The hotel also has bright, spacious, well-equipped meeting rooms with plenty of natural light. There is also an on-site conference centre, Yacimientos de Atapuerca.

In La Abbadía restaurant you can try traditional Castilian food from the tasting menu (reservation required) or the chef’s specialities prepared each weekday. Dishes are made with a fresh, seasonal products, all accompanied with an exquisite service and fine wines. All of this this is served in an impressive setting, with peaceful gardens overlooking this historic city.

The daily breakfast consists of Iberian cold meats, natural orange juice, and a great variety of hot and cold products, and a great assortment of pastries.

Special menus and dishes are available for children and those with special dietary requirements (gluten-free, vegetarian, etc.).

The hotel’s spacious rooms are all exterior-facing, meaning that they receive plenty of natural light. Some open onto private balconies or gardens. Special executive and family rooms are available.

The city’s stunning cathedral is just a 300-metre walk from the hotel. Around here you will also find other ancient monuments, such as the ancestral home of the legendary El Cid, Church of San Esteban and the CAB (Modern Art Museum). The charming Plaza Mayor is 400 metres away.

Our room had a large terrace and was very comfortable. Hotel facilities were very good with a gym and indoor pool. The siutation is very close to the Cathedral and town centre.

The Restaurant is closed on Sundays which is very inconvenient. Breakfast and car parking is expensive.

It's close proximity to the beautiful city and fabulous views from my top (5th) floor room

The restaurant was closed on a Sunday; the breakfast was disappointing, with limited choice, the "hot" food actually being very cool and poor service to boot.

Good location very close to the centre of Burgos and still easy to access by car. Nice hotel with nice rooms

I had problems with the room aircondition, it seemed to get stuck on max heat during the night, had to turn it off and open the window. Breakfast was not included and was on the expensive side.

We stay in many hotels and A Burgos was a delight - all the more so because we had a dog with us and expected a room that probably had been used by other dog owners and showed it. This was not the case - the accommodation was extremely good.and the garage facilities were of the best. We had a lovely terrace and table and chairs and beautiful weather as well. Who could ask for more

There were not facilities in the room to make a drink which is fine - but the cafeteria and restaurant are not open on a Sunday and re-opened Monday morning about 8am. We were leaving early so were not able to get a hot drink from when we arrived Sunday afternoon.

Central to Cathedral & restaurants. Secure parking if somewhat expensive. Staff good.

There were two wedding receptions which meant no restaurant for guests and some noise.
