For reservations for 5 rooms or more, cancellations must be made at least 28 days before date of arrival. In the event of a no-show or later cancellation in breach of this policy, the hotel will charge an amount equivalent to 100% of the total cost of the booking as cancellation or no-show charge.

The staff were excellent.

We were upgraded due to maintenance problems to a club room. This was great for us, however the room was still very small. I dread to think what the size of the regular rooms were!!

didnt really use the facilities - unfortunately had a room next to the air con unit so not a very peaceful nights sleep!

Nice area of London, relatively good price, free internet, friendly staff, nice bathroom

Uncomfotable bed, non-smoking room that stank of smoke, broken lift (but they had someone to help carry bags), very expensive breakfast (which I didn't try because of price)

Clean and in a well kept state but I suspect this is because the hotel looked newly refurbished.

I didn't stay at the hotel. On arrival I was transferred to another of the Shaftesbury's hotels - although only four km away, it was completely not where I needed be. I chose the Notting Hill hotel because I had meetings right round the corner and could walk easily to them rather than having to catch a tube. There were no apologies not an upgrade and it was just expected that I would go.

As soon as I arrived I was told that the room was not available and asked to move to another hotel belonging to the same chain where I was assigned a ground floor room on the street without any sort of fence. Wifi not working at the Metropolis.Since I was asked to move I would at least expected a safer looking room.

free internet and the lounge room very trendy
